SPECIAL EVENTS

WEN Barn has closed temporarily in 2010 - but WEN Gardens is open on July 24 and August 21 for two special events.

Lightning hit our farmhouse in 2008 and rendered us without water and electricity and out of a house for 15 months. Please stay posted - and sign up for our e-newsletter with WEN insight, Green Yoga tips, and announcements. We will be greener than ever once we re-open.

An Introduction to Wild Food and Medicinal Plants:

Weed Walk with HILLARY THING

at WEN Barn & Gardens

Saturday, July 24, 10 am-noon

Discover the medicine and culinary delights that grow beneath your feet in high summer.

Help birth WEN's and Hillary's Teaching Gardens! Commune with your neighbors and fellow earth-lovers as we break soil on the first bed of Hillary's Medicinal Herb Teaching Gardens. Each of us will have a simple task depending upon our preferences, talents, and the garden's needs. Once we complete the bed, we'll relax in the shade, eat and drink, commune as Hillary teaches us about the properties of the herbs we've been planting as well as the vision for the gardens and the community.

Pre-Registration: No fee, but please RSVP soon by calling 845.679.9441 or emailing hillthing@aol.com. The earlier you RSVP, the better we can make plans for the group.

Where: WEN Barn & Gardens, 156 Upper Whitfield Rd., Accord, NY 12404. We will be working on the back side of the pond accessible most easily from the wood gate off of Upper Whitfield. Signs will be posted. Please park head in in the driveway or tight on the side of the road.
